Tantra, Psychedelics and Shamanic Journeys: Bridging the Gap: Integrating Sexual Healing and Plant Medicine with Safety, Boundaries, and Sacred Space

Tantra, Psychedelics and Shamanic Journeys: Bridging the Gap: Integrating Sexual Healing and Plant Medicine with Safety, Boundaries, and Sacred Space

Most Shamanic Leaders and Practitioners don’t want to bridge the worlds of Tantra and Plant Medicine. Their main reason is because a lot of times people that are embarking on the world of plant medicine that are new to healing and have a lot of trauma in their own bodies will get triggered being around Tantra people or those with high sexual energy. However when it’s done in a container of safety it can work marvelously together.

Couples with high sexual energy as well as trauma can work intimately together by sharing their deepest pains, emotions and fears in private. They don’t have to be triggered by those in the room with this heightened energy, and others don't have to be triggerd by them either. Those with this energy can go about their journey and do their own journey or work with others that don’t feel triggered by this.

I had an experience with a Shaman Leader that came to my home to lead the ceremony while I was hosting and holding space. My Beloved and I were madly in love and full of bliss and celebration of our love. The next day during integration when we spoke about some of our experiences on Ayahuasca with another Shaman and how much fun we had, there was a woman at my space that was highly triggered. She had previous sexual trauma she had not processed or worked through yet. All my Beloved and I were doing was expressing our joy and in laughter and fun. However because it was such a sensitive topic, she had a history of sexual trauma, and the Shaman did not have a background in Tantra or sexual healing, they decided we were too intense and sexually powerful for them to continue to work with us in doing Ceremonies in our space.

However if he had a background of healing from sexual trauma or Tantra, he may have understood that this was exactly what the woman needed to help her confront her own trauma and support her in talking through things and help her to heal. Over time we may have been the main resource in helping her heal this at its core. Instead, she elected not to come back nor work with plant medicine in this way any longer, and perhaps suppressed or halted her healing journey work.

When people have had trauma it’s important to trudge delicately, have the right boundaries and the ability to process and communicate the triggers and emotions that come up. In Shamanic plant medicine circles, it is a delicate area. However, with a knowledge that these things do heal, and how plant medicine can in fact help heal them at their core, they may see the possibility of true healing and absolute transformation. Perhaps this is where I step in.

Tantra alone can help to heal from sexual traumas, and when combining plant medicine to help heal these things, it helps all the layers of all the emotions trapped in the body to be released and revealed. Tantra can help people overcome a history of sexual trauma, and plant medicine can help delve into the emotions trapped in the body to do the deeper emotional healing work associated with it.

Holding space for Couples becomes a great gem, and allowing the couples be the ones to help each other heal through these difficult spaces. Rather than the entire larger group community in the home. When it comes to Tantra, Psychedelics and Shamanic Journeys: After the ceremony is complete and it’s time for integration the next day, then everyone can share their experiences and what came up for them, how it made such a profound impact and how they now feel today. I see the delicateness of this, but also the safety, power and the way it can be the most incredible tool to have a breakthrough in and transform your life.

And so here I share about the two worlds of Tantra and Plant Medicine and how incredible this is for the world.
